This morning as I woke up to find my ps5 controller not working, I was surprised as I have not been getting a notification saying it was working and needed to be reset. The controller is not being recognized by the ps5 and I am not getting any notification that the controller is not working.
It’s a known issue with ps5 controllers that is being worked on by ps4 devs, so please be patient. Hopefully they fix it ASAP. Hopefully they fix it before the game comes out.
This is a common issue that many ps4 owners run into. The controller is not recognized unless your ps4 is connected to your ps5’s wifi. I have yet to run into this issue, and I’ve never had to reset the controller.
I don’t know whether this is a PS4 or a PS5 issue, but there is a fix for it. All you need to do is connect your ps4 to your ps5 and plug in your ps4 controller. This might take a few hours, so be patient.
Of course, this solution doesn’t work for everyone. For instance, if you use a USB controller or use a bluetooth controller, there is no way to get the ps controller to work with this method. I used to test out these controllers by plugging them into a ps4 and just sitting there, hoping for the best. That method wasn’t working for me, and I had to use a different technique.
So you have to plug an accessory into your controller to make it work. This might be the most annoying thing ever. Ive been using controllers since the Nintendo 64, and my controllers are way too complicated to be plugged into a computer and I have no idea how to do it. This is the reason why my PS4 controller sucks.
Well, after a month or so of using it and trying to figure it out, I finally found my method. It’s rather simple and works pretty well. It’s not ideal, but it works.
This also helps in the event a controller doesn’t work on your PS4.
You might think this a “no good” solution, but its actually a really good one. For some reason, there seems to be a lot of people that don’t like the idea of the Xbox/Playstation controller. I’m not one of those people. I prefer sticking to a mouse and keyboard.
This is the reason why I want to try this. I’ve had a controller since I was a kid and I’ve played just about everything on it. So I’m not going against anyone here. I think this solution is a really great one and can be a real lifesaver to some people who dont have the proper console. As a bonus, it also solves the problem of having to keep switching the PS4 controller on and off.
