It should be no surprise that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has declared that the number of positive Covid-19 incidents was down for the first two weeks of this year. The first week is the worst for any type of human being, but the second week is just one more example of how our actions can be detrimental and harmful.
That’s really bad news in that it means that the current state of the coronavirus outbreak is only going to get worse. If you remember back to the beginning of this article, we talked about how it’s only going to get worse because the number of people contracting the disease is now dropping. But as an example of how this is bad, the rate of deaths from Covid-19 has dropped dramatically in the past few weeks.
Yeah, that’s not good news, because while we can’t really stop the spread of the disease, we can slow it down.
The current state of the coronavirus is bad, because it is a virus that is destroying lives in new and unprecedented ways. And while the rate of deaths is down compared to what it was a few days ago, the numbers are still quite high. We should be worried that this is only the early stages of the disease, because the numbers are likely to continue dropping very quickly.
Now, this is not because the virus is somehow magically not lethal. We have seen this happen before in other pandemics, people who died from a flu or similar illness were not really that sick and died from the flu anyway because they didn’t really get infected. The virus is most likely to kill people who are the least likely to be able to fight it.
The reason for this is the virus is still so new and has so little data on how it works that its not really a good test case for a vaccine. We do know that it is almost always fatal to the elderly and the very young.
Even if we get the virus, there’s still a chance that the virus will infect any susceptible person for a few days and that it will kill a large number of people. For example, if we get a flu virus and it kills a lot of people, it’s probably a good thing to do and hopefully we can get more people on the road.
I guess you could say that Covid is only going to be a matter of time. One might argue that it is way too early to be worried about. But with all of the things that have happened in the world for the past few weeks, theres no telling how big it will get.
