The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Just like a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, “Hmm… every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas. That might not be a coincidence,” a person without self-awareness just hits the bottle and doesn’t look back.
As it turns out, Colt Vahn is an amnesiac who seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.
That’s what we’re here for, Colt. After all, we’ve already used the time loop to take out a guy who was trying to kill us. So what does he do now? Well, we have to stay on Deathloop to prevent a bunch of Visionaries from being killed. This will result in Colt murdering the eighth Visionary and taking them down, so he decides to stay for a while.
This is the part of Deathloop where we meet Colt Vahn, a man who apparently has no memory of being on the island. Colt is the head of security for the Visionaries. He’s trying to take out Visionaries 8 and 9 and is being hunted by a group of them. In the trailer, Colt is wearing a silver mask with a face mask on the top and a face plate on the bottom.

How could Colt have no memory of being on the island, and how did he get on the island? The answers to these questions will reveal the mystery of Deathloop.
The question is, is Colt the only one who is having the problems? He is the first one to tell us that he is on the island, and it is implied he is the one who is in a time loop. To answer this question, the game is going to have to reveal more about Colt’s past and how he got to the island.
Another interesting new feature will be a digital camera that will be able to take pictures of people. The reason this is important is because if Colt is the one who’s in a time loop, then Colt could have gone back in time to when a vision of him was real, but then he could have forgotten who he was again.
The game will also have to reveal more about what is going on on the island. It isn’t clear if there are any other people on the island besides Colt, because if Colt is the one who is in a time loop, then there will be another person there. This is because Colt is a person with no memory of anything except that he is on the island and that he needs to kill the Visionaries.
