I have to say that I am a bit disappointed by the lack of any explanation as to why it took so long for the PS4 to have the time limit feature enabled. I guess it could have been because it was already on in the Xbox One’s first generation consoles so it was just a matter of a change of settings. Or it could have been because they were using the “full game” time limit as the default in the PS4.
In the Xbox One version of the game, the PS4 version simply doesn’t have the feature enabled. It’s possible this was to keep PS4 owners from abusing the feature. It was also possible that the PS4 version was just too slow and the Xbox One version was just too fast for it to be worthwhile on such a big screen, so they disabled the time limit feature. It would be cool, though, if this was the case.
I thought about this one a lot this morning. It would be cool to see the full PS4 version of the game (or even the Xbox 720 or Xbox One version, if you can get it) with the time limit enabled, but for now I guess we’ll have to settle with the Xbox One version.
We will see on the next Xbox if any of the developers were actually working on a PS4 version of the game. If there is one, the game will probably be called something like ‘ps4 time limit’ or ‘ps4 time limit time limit’.
In a way it’s the same as saying, if we have a few years left on life expectancy, our time limit will be up. But the problem is if I am still alive in ten years, I can still be playing Deathloop, which is a pretty awesome time loop.
While the Xbox One version is a few days behind, I don’t think the time-looping in Deathloop will be as much of a challenge. The game’s story will likely be told through a time loop looping story, and if you want to know what it’s about you can look at the official Deathloop game trailer.
