It’s a pretty common accessory and while it doesn’t have the features of a camera (like a lens and flash), it is an accessory that allows you to take photos with your console camera. It’s great for parties, for those who don’t want to lug around a DSLR, for those who like to do a lot of video editing, and for those who just want to take a bunch of photos without having to fuss with their console.

So far, the only complaints have been that the adapter doesn’t have the depth of a lens or flash. I don’t know that the adapter is any more expensive than getting a camera that has a lens, but the camera looks like it has more features that can be used as a camera.
