I think the best thing about Pinterest is that it’s just not about having the perfect, perfect planter. It’s about seeing how other people have used their planters and how they used different techniques to achieve the same look. I think it’s so important to use the right tools for the job because you don’t want to spend hours or days trying to find the perfect tool.
I think thats the best part of Pinterest. We can be so frustrated with our own skills and get so frustrated with other peoples skills that its almost impossible to find something that works for us. Its also kind of amazing to see what other people have used and how they have used it.
One of my friends recently went to a very nice home improvement store with a bunch of plans on how to do a new room. The shop manager had such a huge smile on his face and just said things like, “You could have my plans”. I was so touched by his words, I started to think that perhaps I should just stop trying to do it myself and start doing it with other people.
I think that’s what we do here, we all want to make it easy for other people to build things for us. In planning, it’s important to keep in mind that many things can’t be planned for, such as plumbing or electrical systems. In planning, we’ll also need to think about materials, design, and tools.
