A lot of people ask me, “How can I learn meditation?” “How can I learn to meditate?” But first, let me tell you a little bit about the process as I understand it. And I want to tell you the story of my meditation journey. A little background first.
A few months back I was in the middle of a very intense period of the last few years. I was on the brink of death, and as a result I was very frustrated. I wasn’t talking to my family or friends, and I was in a terrible state of depression. I couldn’t do anything, so I started meditating.
Meditation has been a goal of mine since I was a kid. I was always drawn to the idea of a higher consciousness, or the possibility of a higher self. I never understood why people were so scared of it. I was not afraid of death, but I was afraid of the idea that I wasnt good enough. Like anything else in life, I had to work to improve my self-awareness.
This is the first time I’ve been to a major city like Amsterdam or maybe Barcelona, and I’ve been there for almost a week! The first time I was in Amsterdam I was obsessed with the city and the architecture, and it was all I could do to get where I wanted to be. It was the most amazing place I’ve ever been in Amsterdam. I was in a city full of people, and it was a real pleasure to be in the city.
I used to be one of the people in Amsterdam obsessed with the city and architecture, and it was all I could do to get where I wanted to be. It was a real pleasure to be in the city.
It is all true. I was one of those people.

In Amsterdam, the people were the real deal, and you didn’t have to be an architecture genius to know this. In fact, I remember being in the same neighborhood with a group of friends from university who were trying to kill each other. I’ll never forget when one of them approached me and said, “Mesdames, vous êtes tous les gens d’Amsterdam qui ont détesté la ville.
I thought it was a joke until my friend, who was in the same situation, said, “No, it doesn’t matter.” It was a compliment to me, but I was more than a little taken aback by the praise. I didn’t really understand why he thought it was funny, but I found it quite touching.
