That’s because you are using the PS5 voice, which is a male voice. For some strange reason, the PS5 voice has a female voice as a default, which can confuse people.
If you want to use the PS5 voice, you have to disable the PS2 voice, which is a male voice. If you want to use the normal voice, you need to do the same thing.
To be honest, I do not know why I have a default female voice for my PS2. It would be cool if they changed that.
The fact is that this is not the first time I found out that I have a default male voice on my PS2. I have always been able to change the default to a female voice, but ever since I got a new PS2, it’s not been easy to do.
I have been using the PS2 voice since the day I got it, and I do not like it. It is just not my thing. After you change the default, it is much easier to change back. In the PS2 menu, press Menu->Voice->Change Default.

Either way, I can now change it back to male. All I had to do was look in the PS2 menu and type in “gtvoice-gtChange Default” (I think that is what I said).
But that doesn’t explain why it is so hard to change back to female. That should be easy, right? Well, it is, because the default is always female, and even if you change it back to male it’s still female. And, as I said, I’m not sure if it is because I never noticed the option or just because I am not used to it.
It’s easy to change the default to female, but it’s not easy to change back to male. This isn’t about male to female, this is about a simple option that a few people know how to change back to. If you do change it back to male, you will need to set a new registry key for male voice to change back to female.
