The desk nameplate and business card holder is my favorite desk accessory, because it was so easy and fun to make. I wanted something that I could put on my desk everyday and it would be so easy to grab and wear again.
As it turns out, I did find a great solution to my problem. The desk nameplate is a pretty sturdy piece of office equipment, and I managed to make it so it wouldn’t fall out of my desk once I put it on. It’s made from a sheet of white paper and a box of tiny white glitter pens, and it has a small “business card holder” on the side.
I also created a desk nameplate that could be used from the bottom up, and because it was a simple solution I think it will be incredibly easy to make again.
To make a desk nameplate, trace the outline of a desk nameplate onto a piece of paper. Then fold the paper in half and trace the folded edge of the paper on the desk, leaving a very small border on the folded edge of the desk nameplate. I used a piece of plain white paper because it was on sale for a pretty reasonable price. Then cut a small border around the desk nameplate, leaving as much space as you need for a business card holder.
I love the idea of a desk nameplate that is almost too cute to be real. But I think this is a good idea because it will be able to last for a very long time. That is, until we get a call from a client asking what to do with it.

The problem that I see with this desk nameplate is also related to its thickness. Because it is thin enough, I can see the cards that I have already written on it. When I write on it, I can only see my name but not the other cards I’ve already written on it. This makes it very difficult to write on that desk nameplate. I just don’t know how to get rid of the cards that I just wrote.
