I’m so happy to report that it’s not the case. I just transferred $5,000 to my new account, so I’m not sure why my account hasn’t automatically converted yet. I’m sure it wasn’t for lack of interest.
Like all the other accounts in the game, you can transfer your vbucks to another account through the game itself. If you want to use the account on a different machine, it will take a few days for the conversion to occur. Once you have the vbucks, you can spend them in the same way as you would any other account.
Now that you have vbucks, how about you spend them in the game and get a bonus? Well, I’m not sure if I can. I don’t think its possible to get a bonus for spending vbucks for me, but I think it’d be pretty easy for anybody else to get a bonus for the same thing.

Currently they are going to be sending you a couple of emails with what is likely the info you need to transfer vbucks to your account.
