As I sat and talked with some of my favorite friends and their families from across the country about their home-improvement projects, I was reminded of something I have been pondering for a few days.
My friend, Dave, is renovating his house (a new condo in Brooklyn) and has been doing so with a group of friends and family. They are mostly in their 40s, so I asked if they have any specific concerns they would like me to try and address.
I’ve been trying to figure out what my priorities are from the get go. I think I’ve always been about wanting to make sure I have the right color scheme, style, and overall feel of a home for myself and my family. I’m a firm believer that a house should say something about who you are and your personality, because it can’t tell that from a photograph.
My family and I have a pretty diverse set of tastes in decor, as you can see on our website. There is a lot of color, some patterns, and some woodsy accents.
We’ve created a section to help you choose your colors, styles, and furniture. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at my home and thought it was just wrong. Most importantly, this is one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in the whole process. In my experience, I made too many decisions in the beginning and this has led to a lot of unnecessary confusion and a lot of frustration.
While we try to be as objective as possible, sometimes it’s hard to know what color is right for a certain room. Thats why weve created our own color categories. Our site also features a gallery of our favorite colors. Our site’s homepage will tell you what your color category should look like.

Yep, it’s still quite the name. Bloody Roar is a brand of the violent and brutal video game series. It was created by a group of people in a basement that was trying to make a cheap and violent video game. The name comes from a line from one of the game’s many songs, which is “Bloody roar, bloody roar.
